So, how was it?
I appreciate these dry-erase boards being posted. I was sad that I could not attend the meeting. But all these ideas written on the boards are a bit disorienting to me. Would someone be willing to write a short recap of what happened at the meeting, for those of us who missed it?

Re: ZAPP (April 21st) Community Meeting Continuation
Lasky and vcorvid --
To kick off the meeting, Lisa had everyone in the room introduce themselves, their affiliation with ZAPP, and one word to describe their attachment to ZAPP. From there the committee summarized what ZAPP is/a brief history, what we're all about (programming, community, and creativity wise), and why we called the community meeting in the first place. (30 min.)
We broke the group up into the three main ideas ZAPP wanted to address at this meeting: ZAPP as a creative space, a community hub, and a living archive. These three groups each had a white board and discussed some ideas regarding that subject. (60 min.)
In the last half hour, all three groups got back together into one group to discuss the general themes covered. Every group seemed to discuss space issues (allowing ZAPP to grow and develop without running anyone into the ground), gaining support without filing for Non-Profit status through organizations like Shunpike, etc. (to allow some flexibility before we get hung up in the paperwork), and not separating the archive from the rest of ZAPP (allowing that continuous access for the culture to thrive).
Now we are finding volunteers through this forum who are willing to research how other non-profits in the community work, spaces, or any opportunity we can collect. We will be meeting this month, sometime near the 19th (please RSVP in that forum thread!) to gather more information and continue this process.
Sorry to have missed you both!
